I also did a volume for wordpress with ./themes:/var/www/html/wp-content/themes so I could edit quickly, if anyone hasn't noodled that one out yet.

I'm sorry for asking a dumb question, but I am new to docker and caddy. But I can't figure out where the theme files are stored. I followed the last video and have wordpress installed. I can see sample posts and a sample theme. I've done some theme development, before but I honest cant figure out where the files are.

In the previous video, Surma did not mount a host volume to the WordPress container like he did with the MySQL container ( -v $(pwd)/data:/var/lib/mysql ).Digging through the WordPress Dockerfile, I think if you did something like: -v $(pwd)/wordpress:/usr/lib/wordpress will put the entire wordpress build into that folder. You would then create a new folder under wp-content/themes with the name of your theme and then follow from there.Hope this makes sense.

While I haven't watched the full series, you bring up interesting ideas about modern website development, however, I don't fully understand why this is centered around wordpress. Do you have an article that explains this choice?

Glad to see you talk about WordPress for a change. Being a regular core contributor of WordPress I can tell it's an amazing piece of software. But the part about it is the community around it. 👏💯

I am stumped as to why we don't create themes from pure HTML. I am almost ready to release Bigfoot CMS as open source. Themes are pure HTML.

I don't understand all this it's too technical for me. Adobe Flash Player will not install on Windows XP using 2014 Google Chrome, Adobe Flash Player was blocked because it is out of date on Windows XP and is not been install on my system so how can I'm getting a false information. Also I have installed The HTML5 Flash Player but however it doesn't seem to fix the problem.

That feeling when someone needs to explain that PHP is sever side rendering and what that means. It's probably just an explanation that's there to be safe, but it feels… really strange.

You have to remember that not everyone that watches this show is necessarily a full-stack developer. Some people might have heard the (pretty new) buzzword “Server-Side Rendering” and might not be aware that PHP has been doing it since the 90s 😀 So I want to make sure we are all on the same page.
