no offense but this video is kind of useless, you are using a 3rd party library to achieve the effects, a useful video would be one that does it from scratch

Best way to improve is just to keep on creating your own little projects. Doesn't have to be anything useful, even just build little clones of sites you use, e.g. twitter, reddit clone etc. Let yourself run into problems and challenges, Google them, and then you'll learn more, and at the same time it'll build a portfolio.
