Firebase Tutorial for iOS Apps
Lesson 2: Firebase App Setup
In this lesson, you’re going to sign up for Firebase, set up your Firebase App project and download the configuration file for your database so that we can import it into our Xcode project in Lesson 3.

This video series uses the latest and greatest from Apple (Xcode 8, Swift 3, iOS 10) and Google (Firebase) to create a messaging app with database features.

This series is intended for intermediate programmers or people who have gone through my Beginner series which can be found here:

+Hayyan Media hey Hayyan, for an iPad app I would look at Xcode and Swift to start. The most complicated project for me was about 3 months of full time work with a team of 4 people!

Thanks for the reply :)If I'm just getting started with coding in the ambition of creating an ipad app, would you recommend I start learning HTML, Java or XCode straight off? Also, could you tell me what's the most complicated apps that you've created and how long did they take you? Thanks again

+Hayyan Media hey! Yes to run Xcode you need a Mac but there are solutions for Windows that are not from Apple. Apps can get pretty complicated, taking months to build!

This looks a lot like Parse. Is Firebase similar in features?

Can you tell me why you choose Firebase and not Cloudkit? They look like they provide the same service?
