This DevOps Docker Tutorial on what is docker ( Docker Tutorial Blog Series: goo.gl/32kupf ) will help you understand how to use Docker Hub, Docker Images, Docker Container & Docker Compose. This tutorial explains Docker’s working Architecture and Docker Engine in detail. This tutorial also includes a Hands-On session around Docker by the end of which you will learn to pull a centos Docker Image and spin your own Docker Container. You will also see how to launch multiple docker containers using Docker Compose. Finally, it will also tell you the role Docker plays in the DevOps life-cycle.

Really fantastic explanation but i need one small example of any application with docker(means End to End ). with this session i got an idea about the docker but if gave the full example that will give clear picture and based on that i will start using this. I am very much interesting to learn new technologies and recently in my project started using Docker. You can join multiple manager nodes to the cluster. So if one manager node fails, another can automatically take its place without impact to the cluster. Yes, we can achieve security to the docker file using Cisco Umbrella.Hope this helps. Cheers!

Here's the answer to your first question: HA can be achieved using Docker Datacentre (DDC). You can setup multiple UCP controllers each of which runs on its own OS and Docker Trusted Registry uses cluster architecture that makes use of replicas for high availability.We are still digging around to answer your second question and will get back to you as soon as we can. Hey navaneeth, thanks for checking out our tutorial! You can always run an Ubuntu-Docker container on an Ubuntu host machine, if you have such a requirement. It would work exactly the same way it works on any other host OS. Since Docker Containers are exclusive environments created to run a particular application or satisfy a requirement, their behavior does not change from OS to OS.  For example, you have a high end ubuntu server in which you plan to run multiple Applications – each of which need its own particular environment.
