remove from the DOM is MORE expensive then hide with a inline style rule. (you said the opposite).usually you ve to use v-show for elements that appears and disappear often from the page. v-if fits better to the element that just in some specifc case have to appear or not on the page (status message for example). the page in both case (v-if and v-show) has to render again. Imagine a v-if on a big tag element on the dom… with v-show u just put and remove an inline rule. with v-if you ve to remove it (and cache it,… Read more »

Hi Giovanni, thanks so much for sharing this!You are of course 100% correct, removing is more expensive than changing the style rule. I did not explain this in the best way. What I meant was: If you have content which you might now display at all, using v-if is probably better because the content then is NEVER rendered. Of course, if you have (a lot of) content in the DOM which is likely to be shown and hidden (=toggled), you are absolutely correct: v-show is better.Max

You simply do requests with a 3rd party library or inject in the http options of the Vue root instance some library. One example is vue-resourcegithub.com/pagekit/vue-resourceOr use any other plugin for requests like axios.install it via npmimport axios from 'axios'Vue.prototype.$http = axios

Certainly inspired by it. And then mix in the component-approach from React/ Angular 2, a lot of "own" ideas and a clever syntax and you got VueJS 😉
