remove from the DOM is MORE expensive then hide with a inline style rule. (you said the opposite).usually you ve to use v-show for elements that appears and disappear often from the page. v-if fits better to the element that just in some specifc case have to appear or not on the page (status message for example). the page in both case (v-if and v-show) has to render again. Imagine a v-if on a big tag element on the dom… with v-show u just put and remove an inline rule. with v-if you ve to remove it (and cache it,… Read more »

Hi Giovanni, thanks so much for sharing this! You are of course 100% correct, removing is more expensive than changing the style rule. I did not explain this in the best way. What I meant was: If you have content which you might now display at all, using v-if is probably better because the content then is NEVER rendered. Of course, if you have (a lot of) content in the DOM which is likely to be shown and hidden (=toggled), you are absolutely correct: v-show is better.Max

You simply do requests with a 3rd party library or inject in the http options of the Vue root instance some library. One example is vue-resourcegithub.com/pagekit/vue-resourceOr use any other plugin for requests like axios.install it via npmimport axios from 'axios'Vue.prototype.$http = axios

This is really similar to Angular 1.x, at least the directives!

You will love it more when you get to components

Certainly inspired by it. And then mix in the component-approach from React/ Angular 2, a lot of "own" ideas and a clever syntax and you got VueJS 😉
