Great! Thank you :)I think filters are like normal functions (methods)! I'm saying this cause I wrote the filter as following, and it did work: filters: { uppercase(value) { return value.toUpperCase() } }===============<p>{{title | uppercase}}</p>

Thanks for video, it helps me a lot.I didn't know 'filter' is gotten rid from vueJs 2. When I search from google, it shows a result which mixed info between vueJs1 and vueJs2.

I think it was removed in vue 2.

I'm not sure if I'm getting you – what are you referring to? If you mean the default filter: Vue 2 doesn't ship with any default filters.

Why don't you do marketing here as you are selling this full course in Udemy. I like to see your earning more money as you helped me a lot

I do market here, to, check the video description. But I also do like to have this channel to be more than just a marketing channel, therefore I don't advertise very aggressively. It is great to hear that you really like my content Abu! 🙂

Hi Mister Max, thanks for your video.I'am trying to filter an array with a data (string named genre) declared in the data object but I have this error : "Cannot read property 'genre' of undefined ".Any idea ?

Thanks Max, you're the boss !Yes I tried "this.genre" before but as you explained it did not works.

Accessing genre doesn't work, theoretically, that would be "this.genre" since it refers to the data in the instance. But that would also not work since you're in a filter function where "this" is not proxied. The following way will work though: jsfiddle.net/q3zf51ry/1/I just passed the sex as an argument to the filter

thank you for your reply Mister Max (sounds better than Mindspace for me ;-),well I think so, If you have time check the JSFiddle link : jsfiddle.net/q3zf51ry/

Well it sounds like your data may not be passed into the filter correctly. Try debugging that with the chrome debugger or simple console.log() statements. Does the data used in your filter have the right format?
