Check the position of each column relative to the parent GameObject and make sure they match those in the video.

I’m currently working on my first game (endless runner) for mobile and first designed it like you did by moving all the object to the left and repositioning them. I then changed it to just moving the player and the main camera accordingly (and added a second camera for UI), because of the amount of background objects and the fact that the players speed changes if you touch the screen (=changing x-movement all the time).Based on tests on real devices it feels smoother with my new approach, but please correct me if it is not very likely.  (I am… Read more »

Ohh maybe it's not showing on your side, sorry for that. I was asking:…You mention (15:17) that it is generally be much better performance to set it up as shown in the video(player centered), why is this so? Also, does the amount and the size of objects that move matter? (I used no physics)Because I am now not sure if I should change it back to player centered or leave it with player moving, if there is generally a noticeable difference in perfromance

JB Well, there wasn't THAT much to respond to. It seemed less of a question than a statement. I felt it worth pointing out the additional details.

JB Soon, we will have an endless runner example. However, there are several ways to deal with endless movement. One is to keep the player centered and the other is to move the player and "reset" the world back to origin occasionally to prevent floating point imprecision. I believe this is outlined in the lesson at one point.
