Eric Gundersen (Mapbox) walks us through how to customize Mapbox’s mapping and location developer tools for Unity.

Mapbox powers billions of maps for the world’s most innovative companies and now they’re using their extensive location tech to build the deepest set of spatial tools for Unity. They provide tools for rendering a game world based on map data at run time, and also support geocoding, directions, map matching, and datasets. Own and host your datasets with Mapbox, generate and query points of interest, and style and design your own maps. Each of these services adds important contextual aspects to gameplay and enable experimentation with spatial data in games, enabling developers to come up with new ways of blending reality with game worlds. When you have access to geospatial data of the entire world new types of gameplay become possible.
