In this talk Ales Ulm (Bohemia Interactive) talks about the development of Ylands, a voxel-based sandbox game two years in the making that allows players to design and share their own adventures – custom scenarios ranging from tweaking the existing gameplay to creating different game genres. The presentation is focused on both design and technical challenges the team has encountered so far and best practices of overcoming those.
