Alan Willard is taking over the stream to drop knowledge and provide guidance from the perspective of a tech artist. He demonstrates how to use world position offsets to create effects for “erasing” characters before deleting them. He also answers a series of questions from the live chat.

[00:22:18] “Can you do this with other forms of AA?”

How I get as smart as the trainer? His knowledge of materials is off the charts. How long this level of skill take to achieve?

I will beat the whole team, then get so good I have to develop a branch. So I except I better get busy and not waste time. I will get smart as the whole team combined with time.

If anyone remembers the Blade films you could use a similar method to copy the way the vampires disintegrated! Woah dude…

Holy crap you could use this material method to create a T1000 terminator, metallic chrome enemy that "uncollapses" verts and then lerps to the T2 cop uniform for example. Set them as dynamic materials on an actor then trigger them accordingly via Blueprint. Would be interesting to see if this works on an AI enemy!!Everyday UE4 amazes me further!
